LyricsPro is a personal repertoire and setlist tool operated by Kirkor IT Solutions (Roland Rogers) in New Rochelle, NY. This page explains what the app stores about you, what it is used for, and the things we will never do with it. It is written to be read, not to be waded through.
Account details. Your first and last name, your email address, and a phone number if you choose to add one. The phone number is optional; the app works fine without it. Your password is stored only as a cryptographic hash, so it cannot be read back by anyone, including us.
What you put in. The songs, lyrics, chords, tabs, setlists, venues, dates, and notes you enter. This is your working material, and it is treated as yours.
Addresses you share songs with. When you send a song to someone, we store the email address you typed, a copy of the song as it looked at that moment, and your name, so the song can be delivered and the person receiving it can see who it came from. If that address does not belong to a LyricsPro account, we keep the address itself after the share expires, because that is what the limits preventing this feature being used to send unwanted mail are counted against.
Preferences. Small settings that make the app behave the way you like, such as your light or dark theme, your timezone, and an avatar choice.
Technical basics. A session cookie to keep you signed in, and ordinary web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) which the host keeps for security and troubleshooting. There are no advertising cookies, no third-party analytics, and no tracking pixels anywhere in this app.
Only to provide the service: signing you in, showing you your own library, letting you build and perform setlists, saving your library for offline use, sending a song to someone when you ask us to, and sending the occasional account email you asked for, such as a password reset or an email verification. That is the entire list. We do not profile you, we do not build an advertising audience, and we do not mine your lyrics.
We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We will never hand your library to a third party for their own purposes. If that ever needs to change, it will be an opt-in choice you make deliberately, and this page will say so before it happens, not after.
Running a web app means a few suppliers necessarily handle data on our behalf. Today that is the web host that runs the servers and stores the database, and the email provider that delivers account messages such as password resets, along with the invitations you send when you share a song. They act on our instructions, for the purpose of operating LyricsPro, and nothing more. We may also disclose information if the law genuinely requires it.
From Profile in the app you can:
If you would rather we did any of that for you, or you want to know what is held about you, write to info@kirkor.com and we will sort it out.
Your information is kept for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, the account and its contents are removed from the live database immediately. Routine encrypted backups are kept on a short rolling schedule for disaster recovery and age out on their own.
Sharing is the exception, and it is worth understanding before you use it. A song someone accepts from you becomes their copy, in their library, carrying your name as the person who sent it. It is theirs from that moment, and deleting your account does not reach into theirs to remove it. We also keep two things permanently and on purpose: any address that has asked never to receive shared songs again, and the addresses shares were sent to. Both are what make those limits work, and the first would be worthless if deleting an account quietly undid it. A share nobody opens expires after two weeks, and the copy of the song it was carrying is deleted then.
You do not need a LyricsPro account for someone to send you a song, which means you may hear from us without ever having asked us for anything. So, plainly: the email always says who sent it, we will never add you to a mailing list, and every one of those emails carries a one-click link that stops us sending you another, for good. We keep that preference even though you have no account with us, because keeping it is the only way to honor it.
The app is served over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, session cookies are marked secure, and every page is scoped so an account can only ever reach its own data. No system is perfect, but this one is built and reviewed with that as the first priority.
LyricsPro is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
If this statement changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes to how your information is used will be communicated rather than slipped in quietly.
